Beanhill trout fishery nestles in a wonderfully secluded, peaceful valley in the glorious Gloucestershire countryside. The lake is set amongst a back drop of rolling farmland and mixed woodland of the forest of dean, all of which is dissected by the fast, shallow waters of a babbling brook that feeds the fishery.

This really is the perfect spot to escape the modern, outside world and loose yourself in the pursuit of your fishy quarry. The peace and tranquillity that can be found here is second to none and often the only sounds are the soft rustle of the wind among the leaves, the sharp call of a kingfisher or the cry of a buzzard as it floats high above the valley floor. For the purists out there, looking for that little bit more from their fishing to make a day really special this is the place, after all there is more to fishing than just catching fish. Don’t simply take our word for it, Beanhill was voted 22nd in the top 100 fisheries to visit by

We can be found just one mile off the A48 at Alvington and only ten miles from both the M4 and M5 motorways. The position of the fishery means we are far enough away from major routes and big towns to benefit from quiet and scenic surroundings, yet close enough to be accessible and easy to find.
